Questions about Egypt’s tax deadlines

What is the Egypt corporate tax return due date?

For a financial year ending 31 December, companies and branches file the corporate income tax return by 30 April, so the 2026 return is due by 30 April 2027. Companies that must prepare a transfer-pricing local file submit it 2 months after the corporate return. Another year-end moves both dates; ask us for yours.

What is the Egypt VAT return due date?

Monthly, by the end of the following month: the October 2026 return is due by 30 November 2026. Businesses under the Law 6/2025 simplified regime file quarterly instead, within the month after each quarter. Registration is compulsory once turnover reaches EGP 500,000, and some businesses, such as importers for trade and exporters, must register regardless.

Egypt tax return due date for individuals: when is it?

Individuals file between 1 January and 31 March for the previous year, so 2026 income goes on a return by 31 March 2027. That includes landlords: rent is taxed on the actual amount minus 50%, then the brackets, and built-property tax already paid on the unit is credited against the tax on that rent.

What does a late tax return cost in Egypt?

As of October 2026, a return filed up to 60 days late draws a fine of EGP 3,000 to 50,000, and beyond 60 days EGP 50,000 to 2 million. Tax paid late carries interest at the Central Bank rate plus 2%, capped at 100% of the tax under Law 7/2025. Additional tax of 20% or 40% may also apply.

Can I get reminders before each deadline?

Yes. Under the calendar, a short form asks for your name and phone number; add a line on which deadlines matter to you. We reply the same day during office hours, 09:00–23:00 every day, in Arabic, English, Italian or Russian, and agree the reminders with you. You can also copy the dates into your own calendar.
