09FAQ
Financial advisory questions
What is the difference between a budget and a cash-flow plan?
A budget sets what you expect to earn and spend over the year, by outlet or activity. A cash-flow plan shows when money actually arrives and leaves, month by month, including VAT, tax payments, insurance and loan repayments. A seasonal business in Sharm needs both: the budget for profit, the cash plan for the quiet months.
How do you plan cash flow for a seasonal business in Sharm El Sheikh?
We start from your monthly sales for the last one or two years, usually from e-receipt or POS reports, plus payroll and fixed costs. Then we add the calendar: VAT, quarterly payroll returns, the 30 April company return, licence renewals and property-tax instalments. The plan shows the short months early and sizes the buffer you need.
Can you prepare a business plan in Egypt for a bank loan?
Yes. Each bank sets its own requirements, so we start from its list. We prepare the financial side of the business plan: statements, a monthly cash-flow forecast that includes the repayments, your tax and social-insurance position, and a written note of the assumptions. We never promise that a bank will approve the loan.
Does a Golden Licence application need a feasibility study?
Yes. GAFI's Golden Licence guide (September 2025) lists proof of solvency, a feasibility study by a licensed consultancy, a timetable, and undertakings on utilities and compliance; the project must also meet two or more of eight criteria. Companies of any legal form, new or existing, may apply. We build and check the financial model behind the study.
What should I check before buying a business in Sharm El Sheikh?
Check the Commercial Register extract, the tax and social-insurance position, every tax year the Tax Authority can still reopen, the licences, leases, staff and work permits, and e-receipt compliance. In Sinai, a share transfer needs GAFI approval (with GAFI's approval fee) plus security approvals. Title and contracts also need a lawyer's review.
